Wii Speak

Nintendo revealed a new Wii accesory: , a gadget that will bring voice chat to the Wii via a speaker and microphone that go on top of the sensor bar.  It acts as a “community microphone” that lets everyone talk in a room, and users can also post messages to friends’ cell phones and message boards.

in short, is a new headset system designed to allow players connected online through their Nintendo Wii systems to talk with each other live during gameplay.

Currently, only Animal Crossing: City Folk has been confirmed to be compatible with the WiiSpeak. Other games that may utilize it have yet to be announced. City Folk and the headset will be released in time for the holidays but sold separately. The headset will be about $30.
