Wii Music is a new Nintendo Wii suite of games that will offer more than 60 different musical instruments which players can simulate using their hands and arms using the Wii remote, Nunchuck add-on, and in the case of the drums, the Balance Board. Designed to offer a non-competitive experience, whole groups can pick up the controls, choose an instrument and play together. There are no notes to match or movements to get wrong, but merely the music is interpreted by the rhythm of your movements and buttons presses. You can choose between saxophone, violin, piano, guitar, to many different types of percussion instruments.

The disc will also include a variety of mini-music games. Wii music will be released this holiday.

Wii Resort Demo

Wii Resort is a sequel to the popular Wii Sports and Wii Play collections. Wii Resort is designed around the activities at a vacation resort. You can toss a Frisbee on the beach with your doggy companion, go jet skiing and try your hand at some friendly fencing. Wii Resort will come packaged with a new Wii accessory, the Wii MotionPlus which connects to the end of the WiiMote in order to better track the movements of your wrist and forearm, needed for Frisbee tossing and sword fencing. The game will be released in Spring of 2009.

Wii MotionPlus is a new Wii accessory for the Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space.

The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. Wii Motion Plus will be needed for Frisbee tossing and sword fencing and will come packaged with Wii Resort game collection.

Upcoming action, gory video game for the Wii console developed by PlatinumGames and published by Sega. The game will feature extreme, over-the-top violence, but designer Shigenori Nishikawa intends it to be seen in a comical light despite the dark tone of the game. MadWorld will feature ultra-stylized graphics that use a limited color palette of high contrast black and white with red blood clearly inspired in Frank Miller’s classic comic Sin City.

The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

New York City city is cut off from the outside world. Spider-Man has to work with both heroes and villains from the Marvel Comics universe to track down Venom and stop the invasion before he himself is consumed by the symbiote attached to him.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows gives players an unprecedented level of gameplay choices, including for the first time, control over the game’s direction and outcome. The all new combat system allows for truly three-dimensional battles that start in the streets, continue up sides of buildings and finish on rooftops.

The game is set in the mainstream Marvel Comics universe and features free-roaming action, and players will be able to customize Spider-Man’s aerial and ground combat. In addition, the player will be able to choose the game’s outcome and Spider-Man’s path.

Gamers can instantly switch between Spider-Man’s agile red suit and his formidable black suit, choose to ally with Marvel’s honored heroes or ferocious villains, pick which character abilities to upgrade, and decide which missions to undertake in order to protect Manhattan from certain destruction.

Taito has distributed the first images of Space Invaders Get Even for WiiWare, the classic arcade games returns to the video games world through the service digital distribution of games created specifically for the Nintendo console.
With a release date set for the summer in Japan, Space Invaders have over 100 different invaders who seek to destroy humans.
